4) Paragon or Renegade?
My canon Shepard is a Renegade who genuinely cares about the people under her command. Toward the end of Mass Effect 3, after that talk with Joker, she kind of switched to Paragade with heavy emphasis on the gade. But, she will still frak a reaper up if they mess with her or her soldiers. Or if they call her Lola.
3) Favourite Class
Vanguard - It seems like the perfect Renegade class. Val Shepard (my main Shepard) doesn’t hide out behind her soldiers like some squishy Adept. She leads them into battle with a fierce biotic charge. I seriously love biotic charge. Especially when I see a big angry Krogran coming at me like he means business. I don’t even remember how many times I died trying to get the timing just right, but once I did the biotic charge was my favorite weapon in the game.
2) Male or Female Shepard? Why?
I pretty much always make female characters in games when they can fight without having to put on a bikini first. I have played a male Shepard and the character just seems so stereotypical. I understand they are saying the same lines and doing the same things but it seems like when Shepard is female there is more depth to her character. She’s not just a typical video game space Marine blowing shit up. She’s a person with a real history, she’s a leader, and a warrior. I love femme shep.
1) Favourite Game of the Series
I think I like the combat from Mass Effect 1 the best. It was much more difficult and I liked being able to use biotics without a universal cooldown and I really think the classes were differentiated a bit more in the first game because there were so many biotic powers. I like the way Mass Effect 2 was way more memorable for me though in terms of actual story and character development. I did want more than just cameos for Wrex and Ashley but it was nice to get Garrus and Tali back. I also really love Lair of the Shadow Broker. Seeing Liara come out of her shell and kick a whole lot of ass was nice. And finally getting my LI back gave me warm fuzzies. Mass Effect 3 gave me the most feelings though. Sad feelings. Romancey feelings. Angry feelings. I hate feelings so Mass Effect 2 wins.
